Latest Updates from Our Project:

Rewards Update + NEW SHOP IS LIVE
about 7 years ago – Tue, May 02, 2017 at 08:40:23 PM

Hello Tribe!

It's been a bit since I last updated you on progress, so I wanted to circle back and provide some timelines for when you'll be receiving your rewards :) Our original date for delivery was by May 31, but because we have had a delay with fabric it's pushed us out a few weeks.  But, we want to get this RIGHT the first time, so we appreciate your patience and support!

* We paid the factory for all pre-production costs and half of the labor up front which locks us in to move forward. Wahoo! Such a relief to know your backing is going to our first production run... and it's all moving along so well!

* Our snap press finally arrived at the factory a few days ago! It was on backorder, so it was great to know it arrived safely and awaiting it's fabric counterpart.

* We found out aqua was out of stock for an undetermined time, so we had to pivot. We changed to seafoam to keep things moving along. It's a gorgeous color, close to aqua... but can actually flex between the seasons and gender neutrality a bit better in my opinion! Here is the difference:

This week we are finalizing:

* woven label artwork so we can get those made and sent to the factory. Without all fabric, equipment, trims, etc, they can't begin production.

* patterns, samples and spec packs to send back to the factory to ensure they have perfectly clear instructions on how to execute.

Based on feedback and R&D through the Kickstarter campaign, we made slight adjustments to the patterns. You might remember instead of a cream waist cord on all reversible leggings, the cord will now match the internal/reversed color. Shown below is an example of the navy/stone combo.

As always, thank you ALL for your continued support. If you still want to order SproutFit as a gift, you can now go straight to our shop and use the codes FREESHIP (free shipping) and 10OFF (10% off). I will add this order to your Kickstarter reward and make sure you receive it at the same time! NO additional shipping or waiting :)

If you have any questions, let me know. Happy to help!

With gratitude,

Whitney

#PRODUCTIONGOALS - that's a cool hashtag, right?
about 7 years ago – Tue, Apr 18, 2017 at 03:51:02 PM

Hello wonderful tribe!

Last week, I set a few goals for myself and I wanted to check in with you and keep the communication gates open.

I aimed to:

  • order fabric
  • receive our woven label samples + make any tweaks before placing order
  • paying factory half of funds up front to nail down production date
  • order recycled, compostable, biodegradeable packing materials
  • order the dies and snap press

Here's the skinny:

  • I couldn't place the order because we got word from our supplier that the aqua color is out of stock. *ugh* So, I am waiting for word back on if it's being discontinued, or how far out the lead time is to be re-stocked. As such, I've got a back up plan! I found a very similar color to aqua, and is still gender-neutral. Win! I will communicate the update very soon.
  • Our woven samples are en route to Boise! We will make sure they make our specs, then will place an order and send to the factory.
  • GULP! The 1st payment to the factory (for pre-production costs) comes over today! I have my card ready, y'all. Blog post coming soon on our rockstar factory.
  • Our packaging is sitting all biodegradable and pretty, waiting to wrap itself around our amazing products. We are using EcoEnclose - the very best of the best in sustainability and all made in the USA.
  • We ordered the snaps and die press last week, but the table top press used to "press" in the snaps for our bodysuits and bandana bibs is on backorder until end of April.

WHEW!

As always, thank you all for the support as we take this huge step into producing sustainable, adjustable clothing that grows with baby!

With gratitude,

Whitney

Hello tribe!

We got word today that Kickstarter approved the transfer of funds to our account, which means we get to move forward on ordering from vendors!

Here is a snapshot of what we aim to accomplish this week:

  • order fabric
  • receive our woven label samples + make any tweaks before placing order
  • paying factory half of funds up front to nail down production date
  • order recycled, compostable, biodegradeable packing materials
  • order the dies and snap press for our bodysuit snaps

We are SO STOKED to get started on delivering your amazing SproutFit pieces to you. Thanks again for all your love and support. We are blessed to have you.
